Consultant Paediatrician, Sleep Specialist and clinical Director of the sleep cottage

Dr Virginia Oliveira is a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Sleep Specialist. She graduated in Brazil in 2000 and in 2003 became a fully qualified Paediatrician. She moved to Australia in 2004. In Australia, she initially worked as a researcher and medical officer for clinical trials at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and as a medical practitioner at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Her post-graduate training in Paediatrics was completed at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and Sydney Children’s Hospital. In 2016, after having 2 lovely boys, Dr Oliveira finished her training in Paediatrics and Sleep Medicine and embraced her work as a Consultant Paediatrician and Sleep Specialist in the south of Sydney and Wollongong.
Dr Oliveira is the founder and clinical director of The Sleep Cottage in Miranda.
Dr Oliveira is passionate about the intricate relationship between sleep and childhood development. She is a strong believer that to be a Sleep Specialist, one needs to understand and treat General Paediatrics and Paediatric Development.
When she isn’t busy working and caring for her children and 2 dogs, Dr Oliveira enjoys her Spanish Guitar and hopes to spend more of her time bush walking with her children.
Unfortunately due to personal health concerns, Dr Oliveira is reducing her clinic hours.
