Dr. Virginia Oliveira – The Sleep Cottage

Dr. Virginia Oliveira is a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Sleep Specialist. She graduated in Brazil in 2000 and became a fully qualified Paediatrician in 2003. She moved to Australia in 2004. In Australia, she initially worked as a researcher and medical officer for clinical trials at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research.
Her postgraduate training in Paediatrics was completed at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital. In 2016, after having two lovely boys, Dr. Oliveira finished her training in Paediatrics and Sleep Medicine and embraced her work as a Consultant Paediatrician and Sleep Specialist in the south of Sydney and Wollongong.
Dr. Oliveira is the founder and clinical director of The Sleep Cottage in Miranda.
She is passionate about the intricate relationship between sleep and childhood development. She strongly believes that to be a Sleep Specialist, one needs to understand and treat General Paediatrics and Paediatric Development.
